Fontaine Heritage Antique Auction Details for Sunday July 15th 2012:

We will be selling the contents of three nice untouched estates. One awesome Chatham Post Master’s House. (We emptied the attic that has not been touched for 70 years) with great untouched as found treasures. A super 19th c. Egremont Estate also at Tolland Mass. Estate. A huge amount of fresh antiques.

Paintings: A fabulous group of estate "well listed" paintings. Fabulous signed "Arthur Quartley" ship scene 20 x 36. Wonderful signeed 36 x 22 mountain & lake with cous. Great Henry P. Smith 1880, Ocean Waves, (30 x 22), super signed "Carl Weber" won medals A.A.S. Water color of Farm and Cows 32 x 20. Nice signed Frank Graf of a Man walking douna dirt road (10 ˝ x 14). Super signed Claude Weisbusch 151/of 160 "LaVisite des Amateurus" Wonderful group of 13 signed Churchill Ettinger. Engravings of birds and wild life. Two early signed Leonard Archin with dog and game colored engravings. Paintings signed C.L. Langdon (24 x 16) oil signed E.L. Foret 15 x 11 ˝. Two steel engravings of Lincolns inauguration. One Frank Leslie’s "Chimney Corner", several early portraits from the 19th c. Two Audubon style water colors signed Caroll Tyson? 1918, 6 great folk art 19th c oil on canvanses of early colonial scenes. 19th c O/C with child, water color still life of roses, drawing Cornell. 75/100 Cervantes by Salvador Dali (litho). There are between 50-75 paintings, etchings, pastels, etc. All estate fresh.

Great Period and Country Items: Rare early 19th c. piano forte with bronze work and satin wood inlay. Two piece corner cabinet with 12 pane door and broken arch top signed Bond Philadelphia, PA , 2 piece cherry high boy with fan carved drawer, 2 tavern tables one with tiger maple top. Period bow front chest with splay legs and inlay. Original stenciled vanity with splash, 2 piece Mahogany chest on chest. Several period blanket boxes some with grain painting. Two fabulous period tilt tops including large cherry tilt top with dish top. One scallop edge with claw feet, awesome period Queen Anne walnut side chair 1740 – 1760 (Mass. Or Rhode Island) Wonderful pair of period side chairs with inlaid satin wood floral patterns, two fine dry sinks in red, several early cupboards with wide board backs. Open front corner cabinet with paneled door, red pewter cupboard with open top, super 2-drawer inlaid stand with tiger maple drawers. Sweet untouched early 19th c cradle in original red & stenciling, 2-piece empire secretary with maple interior. Salesman sample blanket box, acanthus carved federal sofa, high post bed with acanthus carved posts, 2 1-drawer stands with figurine maple period inlaid, Grandfather clock, signed "ORR" early tool chest, 1847 map of New England published by Ensigns & Hayes. Candle stands, horse weathervane, crocks, step back cupboard with raised panel door. Dough box, early baskets, several crocks including early 1840’s with flowers. Bucket benched early folding ladder, shaker rocket, trunks collection of early tools, postcards, 2 book presses, toys, banks, collection of door stops. Halloween items, pantry boxes, one signed Murdock Boston, Wagon seats plus piles more. Fan carved highboy base, plus more. Look at the 500 photos on our website.

Victorian, Smalls, Accessories & Orientals: Extremely rare original 8’ French poster 1" enfant prodique signed Cherel dated October 27, 1890, Alfred Hitchcock’s "Marine". Awesome collection of door stops and banks including 2 rare banks "US Pershing", black man with top hat, large clown, large boy with dog, John Deer tractor, rabbits, dogs, roosters, windmills, trucks, cars over 20 in all. Awesome nouveau green to white cut shade with bronze base, large lot of pottery, Gone with the Wind lamps, several instruments including violins, trumpets, zithers, etc. Group of WW II posters including Pearl Harbor, "Your bonds will back the attack" Several swords and knives and tons of costume jewelry (sold in lots), marble statue of young lady, group of sterling silver, tons of early toys and games from the attic.
